How We Create and Review Our Content
Our Mission
The Mother Baby Center is a partnership between Allina Health and Children’s Minnesota, bringing together expert care for mom and baby under one roof. We know that pregnancy and early parenthood come with a lot of questions, and finding trustworthy answers shouldn’t be one more thing to worry about.
We create content to help you make informed decisions at every stage of your journey, from pregnancy through your first days as a family. We take that responsibility seriously. Every family who comes to us deserves care and respect tailored to their unique needs, and we hold our content to that same standard.
Our Brand Voice
We write the way we care for patients: honest, direct and warm, without being cold or sugarcoating things. We’re bold, not blunt; we’re empathetic, not condescending.
We write for real people making real decisions, so we keep things clear and easy to follow. Every family that walks through our doors deserves to see themselves reflected here, and that same commitment to respect and inclusion shapes how we write for every parent and every kind of family.
Our Editorial Process
A team of professional writers creates every article on our site. They research each topic carefully and write to help you understand your options and feel prepared.
Every article is also reviewed by one of our healthcare providers before it’s published. Our providers bring their clinical expertise to make sure what you’re reading is medically accurate, not just well written. When an article has completed this review, you’ll see the reviewing provider’s name and credentials listed directly on the page.
We’re working to expand medical review across our full library of content. If an article doesn’t yet list a reviewer, know that it was still written by our team and grounded in reliable sources, and it’s in the queue for clinical review.
Keeping Our Content Current
Pregnancy and birth guidance can change as medical understanding evolves. We revisit our articles over time to make sure the information stays accurate and reflects current best practices, not just what was true when it was first published.
