Mother baby spiritual support
At The Mother Baby Center, we support the special spiritual and religious needs of patients and families. A family’s faith and spiritual practices are an important source of tradition, comfort and central to family milestones.
Smudging practice
In order to honor patients’ spiritual preferences, Allina Health will consider requests for smoke-based rituals, such as smudging. These rituals, which involve the burning of sacred herbs or plants, such as sage, cedar, tobacco, or sweet grass must be discussed with your provider and care team ahead of time so our teams can coordinate safety measures to support this practice.
